T McDonald Cosmetics, LLC
Much like a skilled painter, who exercises her gifts of texture, perception and color blends to elevate everyday scenes into a masterpiece, Terry McDonald applies her gifts as a make-up artist to accentuate the highest form of a blank canvas, the human face.
Hailing from the Bronx, New York, Terry discovered her passion at the tender age of 10. In her formative years, Terry’s family and neighbors were delighted with and impressed by her personalized designer manicures and pedicures. Her distinguished beauty industry career began when she was hired as a beauty advisor for Clinique. She was recognized early for her keen eye for make-up application. This had helped propel her role to a counter manager in less than six months!
Terry’s role as a manager at Sephora enabled her to train and elevate the staff’s soft and hard skills for optimal sales performance and customer service. She created sales goals and budgets for the store’s beauty studio.
“My objective is to empower people through my artistry. I strongly believe that when one looks good, they feel good. Not only do I educate and encourage, I am also healing others with self-security, confidence, and empowerment.”
-T McDonald
European luxury cosmetic brand Kiko Milano brought Terry on to manage their seventh United States store. Widely considered a virtuoso in the company, her store successfully ranked NUMBER ONE in a companywide contest. Her instinct and experience in makeup propelled her into an assistant manager position with MAC. Not only was she certified to be a Make-up Artist, but she was also promoted to the position of temporary store manager. Still, Terry’s managerial role didn’t satisfy her desire for artistic expression. She took a leap of faith and started her own business: T McDonald Cosmetics, LLC.
Terry’s extensive kit was designed with organization and cleanliness as priorities. It includes the highest-grade materials and state-of-the-art hypo-allergenic conscious products and tools that can handle any event or occasion.
Terry’s shared her tips and techniques with countless individuals through master classes, fashion shows and freelancing with the best cosmetic brands in the world. Her mastery in make-up artistry has been illustrated over the years through the following roles, events and publications:
